Aquarelleum

I use the On1 Photo Raw application on my macbook to develop the digital photos I take. I typically leave the photos alone after developing them with On1 Photo Raw, but I was introduced to a Photoshop plugin called Aquarelleum that was developed by Profactions. I purchased a copy of it on GraphicRiver in the Envato Market and started playing around with it.

For the photos below, I followed my usual process of developing by starting in On1 Photo Raw and then exporting the image to Photoshop to apply the Aquarelleum watercolor effects:

Some lonely bikes

I went for my morning walk a little later in the morning than usual and as I was getting close to our house, I saw this sled leaning against the tree, so I shot it. I decided to “aquarelleum-ize” the photo, but felt that it needed some red in it, so, still in On1 Photo Raw, I painted in some red on the wood slats of the sled and then exported it to Photoshop to “aquarelleum-ize” it.

Kyson and I decided to go for a walk so that he could get out and catch pokemons (I think that was his motivation). We walked from our house to Walmart, which is about two miles. We then walked back. On the way back, I stopped to take this closeup photo of one of my favorite photography subjects. Kyson fell asleep that evening much earlier than he usually does; the walk was good for him 🙂

The street lamp was casting an interesting color hue in the early morning hours, making the fence and the bush behind this hydrant look a little different than they do during the day, so I shot ’em and then “aquarelleum-ized” the photo.

Memento Mori

If I were more knowledgable and skilled with Photoshop, I could probably make these effects without the use of a plugin, but that feels too much like work.
