52 PC: Starburst, Macro and Big Sky

The last three topics for Nicolesy’s 52 Photo Challenge are week 27 “Starburst”, week 29 “Macro” and week 31 “Big Sky”. Actually, there was a fourth topic that I didn’t actually take a photo for, and that one is week 30 “Backlight”.

I was traveling to Salt Lake City during the week 30 topic of “Backlight” and I didn’t have the time to take a photo for that topic. Maybe I’ll get to it one of these days.

In the meantime, here are the photos I took for Macro. The three flies got themselves stuck in the mesh screen around our trampoline. I imagine they were just flying along without a care in the world when, all of a sudden, they couldn’t move anymore. Doh! The photo of the smashed penny with Woody Woodpecker’s image is something I got in Orlando, Florida a few years ago. The other photo is of a discarded Cicada shell.

And here are the “Big Sky” photos:

And finally, here is the photo I took for the “Starburst” topic. This is one of the best starbursts that I’ve ever captured:
