I was introduced to the idea of taking photos through vegetable oil in water, a glass ball and other glass objects. As a result, I have been having fun playing with these transparent objects that refract and distort what is seen through them. Part of the fun is going to thrift stores looking for interesting glass objects that people have gotten rid of. I’m gathering quite a collection of candle stick holders, cups, candy dishes, knick-knacks and glass balls. Here are a few examples of my playing around with these interesting objects:
