Morning Moonrise

Since moving to South Jordan, I haven’t taken as many photos of sunrises or sunsets. The reason is that our view from our townhome of the east mountains and the west mountains is blocked by the other townhomes around us. In our old home, I could see the sunrise or sunset from our kitchen window. So if there happened to be a colorful or dramatic sunset or sunrise, I could grab my camera and pop out into the backyard or frontyard and snag a photo. Now, though, I have to plan on taking a walk for a block or two just to see if the skyline is showing me a dramatic event. This isn’t really a problem, or a concern, it’s just the way it is now.

Last Wednesday morning, though, both Frankie and I got up earlier than usual and Frankie seemed intent on going for a walk. So I grabbed my camera and we went walking. While on the walk, I was able to capture this shot of the early morning skyline with the Crescent Moon and Venus showing themselves in the early morning light.
