Which Subway Goes To Salt Lake?

Don’t get fed by the pigeons!

Finn and Leon really enjoyed their time in New York. They were able to see many things that they had never seen before. Leon, who had already been to New York, even saw things he hadn’t seen before! Like pigeons!

Now, you’d think that Leon would have seen pigeons before in New York, but you’d be wrong. And not only did both Finn and Leon see pigeons, they also saw a sign that told the pigeons not to feed anybody. Finn and Leon were grateful that they weren’t supposed to be fed by the pigeons. Pigeons didn’t have any hands, so how would they feed anybody? And even the people who made the sign must have known that pigeons didn’t have hands because there was a drawing of a pigeon and a hand with the red circle and line! So why they needed a sign to remind the pigeons not to feed anybody because they didn’t have any hands was a mystery to them.

But, alas, Finn and Leon were getting anxious to get back home to Salt Lake. Although they couldn’t remember exactly how they were getting back home. Then Finn saw a sign for the subway and said that they could take the subway to Salt Lake! Leon wasn’t sure if that would work, but Finn suggested that it was worth a try. So they went down the stairs to the subway and walked underneath the turnstiles to wait for the train. They got some funny looks when they walked under the turnstiles, but they were used to funny looks.

Taking the subway to Salt Lake

In the subway station, they saw train tracks. Upon seeing the tracks, they knew that the subway could take them back home because they remembered seeing train tracks just like them in Salt Lake (although they were spelled different, with an “x”)! Cool! So they jumped on the subway car just before the doors started to close (there were a lot of subway-riding people trying to get on) and started asking the subway-riding people which stop to get off for Salt Lake. But no one would give them an answer. The subway-riding people just stared at the walls, newspapers, the floor, the pretty lady across the way and the man selling batteries.

Finn and Leon ended up riding the subway for about four or seven hours when they finally found one that took them close to the airport. “Oh yeah!”, said Leon, “Now I remember, we’re supposed to fly back to Salt Lake on an airplane!”

“Oh!” exclaimed Finn.
