Collin Douglas Welch, a good friend of my Son Skyler, passed away on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014. Today, Skyler posted this tribute to Collin on Facebook and I took the liberty of re-posting it here.
My childhood friend Collin passed away. We were not as close as we once were, but when I saw him while on leave last September it was as though hardly a moment had passed since we’d seen each other. He told me of his goals to move to Oregon. He was an accomplished ASL interpreter. He had 2 children. He and his brother Brian had a huge impact on my musical taste and ability to think outside the box. RIP Collin.
