Finn and Leon were sitting around after climbing out of the Christmas stockings, wondering what they were going to do next. Leon, having traveled quite a bit said, “I’ve heard that baseball is America’s favorite pastime. How ’bout we go do the baseball pastime thing?” Finn wasn’t sure what the baseball thing was, but he agreed to go.

So Finn and Leon started walking in search of baseball. As they were walking, they were both wondering what baseball is like. “Maybe it’s that game they play with a stick and a ball”, said Finn. “No, I don’t think so, cuz then it would be called stickball”, answered Leon. “Baseball has something to do with a ball made out of bases”, he added. “Oh”, said Finn, “you sure know a lot of stuff.”

They had been wandering around a neighborhood for a few days when they came across a place that had benches to sit on. And since it was raining, Finn and Leon were excited about the fact that the benches were under some sort of roof. “Let’s go over there and sit down out of the rain. And maybe some nice passerby will come over and tell us where we can find baseball”, suggested Leon. “OK”, said Finn. So they did.
