The day was a bit overcast, but only slightly chilly. Not that the clouds or the temperature really had anything to do with anything, it was just an observation that was made by someone who observes. And not having made that observation themselves, Finn and Leon just ran around, having fun and not caring at all whether it was overcast, or chilly or anything. They were just enjoying the day.
While enjoying the day and running around, they came to a spot where there were some really cool-looking trees. “Those are some really cool-looking trees”, announced Finn. “What do people usually do when they find really cool trees?”, he asked. Leon, thinking that he always had the right answer, said, “People hang leaves on them. They hang the leaves on the trees in the spring when the leaves are wet and then by the fall they’re all dry and they take them off.” “Oh”, said Finn. He wasn’t really sure if Leon knew what he was talking about, but he didn’t spend much time being too concerned about it. And rather than worrying whether Leon was right or not, and not even considering where the people would get wet leaves and why they needed to dry them, he ran over and started to climb.
“I’m just going to climb on the trees instead of hanging leaves on them”, exclaimed Finn. Leon thought that sounded like a really fun thing to do, too. So they spent the rest of the day climbing up tall trees and sitting on the cool trunks of the short trees. Neither one of them gave any heed to the people walking by who just stared and wondered why someone leaves socks in the trees. “Maybe they’re wet and need to dry”, said one passerby.
