I found this leaf the other day and was wondering what I would do with it. It looks like I decided on taking a photo of it. Of course, no photo of a leaf is complete without including a rubber duck. And with that being said, I’ve taken lots of […]
While visiting in Salt Lake last month, I had the chance to go on early morning walks with Stacia and Robbin. On one of the mornings, Sandra joined us, too. On the morning that Sandra walked with us, the conditions were just right to capture images of these delightful dogs […]
Our neighbor has some colorful playground equipment in her backyard, and it was getting all wet. I was walking past the Northeast window in our home and looked at the color on the other side of the rain-streaked glass.
I was just sitting there in the kitchen, doing nothing. I looked up and thought how peaceful the morning was, so I took a picture of it. I enjoy the quiet, and at the same time, I miss the energy and chaos of lots of people in the house.
Another view of a sunrise from the northeast window of our home. I think this is going to be a common perspective
This is a sunrise as seen through the tall window on the Northeast side of our house. Since the Covid-19 Pandemic hit, I have not spent as much time outside, so I don’t see as many sunrises and other things, like fire hydrants, than I used to. I happened to […]

A quote from Kurt Vonnegut: “When I was 15, I spent a month working on an archeological dig. I was talking to one of the archeologists one day during our lunch break and he asked those kinds of “getting to know you” questions you ask young people: Do you play […]
I subscribe to an email list from a guy named Philip Shepherd. I have attended one of his workshops and I have read one of his books. I appreciate his unique approach to life and the way he shares that approach with others. Here is a link to his latest […]
Most of the leaves have fallen off the trees and resting on the ground where they’re getting all wet from the storms. As a good friend of ours once said, “there is beauty in death”
I was having a “Leonard Cohen” weekend; listening to all the recorded music of his that I own. One of my favorite albums of Leonard’s is “Live In London”, which was recorded in 2009. When I got to the song, “If It Be Your Will”, which on this album is […]
