A nice passerby who saw Finn and Leon walking along the road on New Year’s Eve, asked them where they were going and what their plans were for the New Year’s Eve celebration. Leon, having traveled quite a bit and also having spent a lot of time in New York said, “I don’t know”. Finn, not having traveled so much and also not having spent a lot of time in New York said, “What’s a New Year’s Eve celebration?”
The nice passerby informed them that it was a celebration to ring in the new year and that there was a big party planned at the Grand America Hotel. “That sounds like fun”, exclaimed Leon. So the two of them started walking to where they thought the Grand America Hotel was. Finn thought that they should ask for directions, but Leon told Finn that he knew right where the Grand America Hotel was. “I saw the Grand America Hotel inside that other house we just passed”, said Leon. “Oh”, replied Finn. So the two of them walked back to that other house they passed.
As they stood there at the door, wondering how they were going to get in, a bunch of other people walked up and knocked. As the nice people in the house opened the door, Finn and Leon scrambled inside. And sure enough, there was the Grand America Hotel! “Wow” exclaimed Finn, “you were right! There’s the Grand America Hotel!” So they scampered over to it and went inside for some New Year’s Eve celebration fun!
