I had planned on getting to work no earlier than 7:38 this morning; but I got a text message from one of my guys that he was sick and wouldn’t be able to be at work. His shift starts at 6:00am and I got the message at 5:11am. I hurried and got ready and drove to work instead of taking TRAX so I could be there in time to cover for him.
When I got to work, there weren’t any pressing issues to deal with, so I took advantage of the opportunity to go up to the 18th Floor and photograph the lights of Temple Square before sunrise.
I’ve been carrying around an 80mm Glass Ball to use in my photography, and yesterday I was meeting with a fellow employee of Zions when I noticed that he had a 130mm Glass Ball on a wooden pedestal on his desk. I told him about the photography I did with a Glass Ball and he said I could borrow his Glass Ball anytime I wanted. So instead of using my 80mm Glass Ball, I grabbed the 130mm and went in to the Founders Room on the 18th Floor and started shooting.
Here are the three photos that I liked the best from this little impromptu photo session on the 18th Floor of the Zions Bank Building.
