Why a rubber duck? Why not a rubber duck?!
Originally, we were using our own version of Jon Anderson’s “Olias” symbol as the logo for this site. And then we received an email from an attorney for Lectorium Rosicrucianum: the International School of the Golden Rosycross. In that email we were told that we were violating a registered trade mark with our logo and were asked to desist. So we have happily chosen to remove it from our website. And since Steven collects rubber ducks, we thought that we would use an image of one on this website as our logo instead of Steven’s version of the Olias symbol.
Were we in violation? Maybe; maybe not. Regardless, we’re just not going to use it anymore on this site. There! That was easy! Besides, aren’t rubber ducks fun?
In addition to having a rubber duck as the logo for our site, we have found out that there is at least one other person in this world besides us who has visited our site! Cool! Thanks for noticing!
Here are the symbols for comparison purposes, starting from the left: the symbol from the Golden Rosycross website, the Olias symbol, our version of the Olias symbol and a rubber duck:
As you can see, the rubber duck is very different from any of the other symbols.
